Salem is a strange and wonderful city, with a dark and complicated history. In 1692 it was the epicenter of the worst witch hunt the New World Colonies had seen in their short existence. In the early months of 1692 Betty Parris and Abigail Williams suffered the affliction of a witch, they were under a dark hand. In the minds of the Puritans, this wasn't a coincidence, as this occurred in the home of Reverend Parris, the Minister of Salem Village. No longer was the Devil on  their doorstep, he was now in their very homes.  

 

Over the coming months fear spread like wildfire, consuming the Massachusetts Bay Colony, as their city on a hill was beset by spectral attacks by witches.
